Sziget Pavillion

A nossa proposta procurou responder com clareza conceptual e construtiva ao desafio de desenvolver um design inovador de uma estrutura reciclável e sustentável para o Sziget Festival. A premissa incidiu da necessidade de criar um espaço versátil que oferece-se sombra e, ao mesmo tempo, servisse de ponto de encontro no festival.

Com uma configuração quadrangular, o sistema pórticado proposto é feito de cubos de madeira de 50x50cm, cada um composto por uma seção quadrangular de 4cm.

O módulo desenvolvido é autoportante, pode ser agrupado com outros cubos para formar múltiplas estruturas.

Composto por uma estrutura modular, pode ter várias dimensões/combinações e ser facilmente desmontado, transportado e reutilizado.

Our proposal for the Sziget Festival intends to respond with conceptual and constructive clarity to the challenge of developing an innovative design for a recyclable and sustainable structure. The project came from the necessity of creating a versatile space that provides shade and at the same time becomes a landmark and a meeting point in the festival grounds.

With a rectangular configuration the proposed portico system is made of 60 cm wood cubes each having a quadrangular section of 4cm. The developed module is self-sustained, can be grouped with other cubes to form multiple complex structures. It is also easily transported, disassembled and reused in different ways.

Being a modular structure it can take multiple forms sizes and shapes, this versatility allows it to be reused in future editions of the festival in different ways.
