Casa Fonte da Vila
Situado no bairro da Judiaria em Castelo de Vide, o edificio existente, não apresentava qualidade de exceção.
Para além da fachada existente todo o seu interior estava num elevado nivel de degradação.
A proposta assenta na reabilitação/transformação do edificio, dotando-o de uma melhor qualidade e flexibilidade espacial.
Num lote inserido na matriz medieval da Vila, os compartimentos interiores da habitação eram insalubres e não respeitavam os parâmetros minimos de habitabilidade exigiveis em Portugal.
Havia o desejo de qualificar espaço e configurar novos usos. Mantiveram-se as fachadas principais e todos os elementos característicos da Arquitectura da região alterando-se apenas substancialmente os interiores. Alterando a configuração dos usos, permitiu-se a centralização da habitação em função do páteo, que enquanto espaço exterior privado, qualifica os compartimentos interiores de ventilação transversal e iluminação natural. Dividiu-se o interior da casa em duas áreas distintas. Na primeira situam-se as áreas comuns, cozinha e salas. Na segunda as áreas privadas, quarto, instalações sanitárias e uma suite. Para manter os elementos caracteristicos de conjunto obtou-se pela utilização de materiais de proveniência local.
Located in Judiaria neighbourhood in Castelo de Vide, the existing building didn't present any exceptional qualities.
In addition to the existing facade all its interior has a high of degradation. The proposal consists in the rehabilitation/transformation of the building giving it a better spacial quality and flexibility. Inserted in the urban matrix of the village, there was no use of the abundant sun exposure and the interior compartments of the housing were unhealthy, disrespecting the minimum parameters of habitability required in Portugal.
There was a necessity to qualify space and set up new uses. The main facades and all the characteristic elements of the architecture of the region were maintained, but the interior was substantially altered. Changing the configuration of the uses by the implementation of a private exterior space allowed the centralization of the house in function of this space. The patio, qualifies the interior compartments by giving them transversal ventilation and natural lighthing. Programmatically the interior of the house was divided by two levels. In the first are the common areas, kitchen, living room and patio. In the second the private areas are composed of 2 suites and a second living room.
In order to maintain the characteristic features of the whole, we obtained the use of local materials.
